Born from the SQY INNOVATIONS research program, it represents the first concrete achievement of this innovation drive. This concept of a carbon fiber prosthetic foot, encapsulated in a flexible and waterproof elastomer, introduces a major technological breakthrough. By offering complete encapsulation of the carbon fiber, SQY FOOT provides a lasting solution to the limitations of open shells, while preserving the performance that has made carbon fiber feet successful since the 1990s. Through this approach, SQY FOOT paves the way for a structural evolution of the market, set to become a new standard for future generations of carbon prosthetic feet.

Encapsulated Carbon Blade

For the first time a lightweight carbon fibre blade is encapsulated in a proprietary technology foot-shell. Due to the protected blade design, no water or particles can enter the foot shell.

Who are we?

SQY INNOVATIONS is a development program launched in 2020 by Frédéric Rauch, founder and director of Aqualeg. It is also the brand under which the company will operate. The goal is to bring a complete range of prosthetic feet to market in the coming years, while simultaneously running an ambitious research and development program dedicated to designing innovative industrial manufacturing tools.

To support this strategy, significant investments have been made. These translate notably into the development of 300 m² of additional premises entirely dedicated to R&D, ideally located in the heart of the Nantes technology park of La Chantrerie. Added to this are the acquisition of dynamic test equipment compliant with ISO standards, the integration of cutting-edge industrial technologies, as well as the development of strategic partnerships internationally and collaborations with French research organizations.
